For the past several months, we have drummed home the message that a person can only be made “Right in God’s Sight” (sermon series title) by faith, that is, by trusting in the Provision God has made for all men in His Son, the Lord Jesus.

In chapters 1-3 of the Apostle Paul’s Magnum Opus that he penned to the church in Rome, he made it unmistakably clear to all people that on account of their sins, they are alienated from God and in need of something outside of and greater than themselves to rescue them from their perilous plight.

We invite you to come this Sunday morning as we turn the corner into chapter 4. In verses 1-8, Paul employed three illustrations that he knew would resonate with most Jews, two issuing from their storied history and one borrowing from a simple business practice – but each underscoring that “Salvation is a Work of Heart.”
