Sermon Synopsis for Sunday, October 4th: “God’s Got Our Back (Part 2)”

“If God is for us, then who could ever be against us?” What a great Bible promise for it engenders unrestrained hope for persistent spiritual victory. But is it true? Satan is against us. His zillions of minion-demons are against us. And his millions of unknowing people-pawns are against us. So what can Paul possibly mean that “If God is for us, then who could ever be against us?”

It means that though Christians are enmeshed in a daily war against the Kingdom of Darkness, we have God on our side – and He’s always got our backs. Every time a trial or temptation smacks us, God smacks it back – assuming it’s in Him we trust and not our own fortitude. If God is for us, and we’re relying on His Holy Spirit, then we can’t lose!

Why not turn out or tune in this Sunday morning as we continue the sermon I’ve entitled, “God’s Got our Back”?
