There are many things in life for which we can take great pride, which then spontaneously triggers an eruption of inner joy.
Maybe we graduated from a university, Summa Cum Laude, or had our first article published in a popular magazine, or were voted in the workplace as “Employee of the Year”. But those us who are parents, discover no greater pride and joy than when we see our children succeed at something! Maybe your son was selected to the National Honor Society, or your daughter made the district chorus or band. Perhaps you had two children nominated for a Freddy Award for their separate roles in their high school spring musical.
“That’s my boy!”, or, “That’s my girl!” Stated another way, “My children are my pride & joy!”
