Some of you may be familiar with Watter’s World, a segment of the O’Reilly Factor, telecast weeknights on the Fox News Channel. The sole reporter, Jesse Watters, poses some pretty shallow questions about life, liberty and the pursuit of asininity here in the good ole US of A. He approaches the average passerby on the street, stops them in their tracks and asks them to voice their opinion on something political. It’s quite an ear-opener how little knowledge so many co-citizens have about some very basic political facts. I share some examples of his Q and A’s:

Q: “Are you worried about Ben-Ghazi?” A: “Isn’t he running against Hillary?”
Q: “Have you heard about ISIS?” A: “Yea, they’re the Chinese people.”

Yikes.

I’m considering starting my own version of Watter’s World with Hampy’s Haven. On the first episode, I’m going to ask this question: “What are some of the most important things we ought to love in life?” I suspect I’ll hear back such pat answers as “My spouse, my kids, my relatives, my pets, what I do for a living, my hobby.” Of course, some would handle the question on a far more philosophic level and respond, “Everyone!” Now this sounds great in theory, but what does it look like in reality?

In keeping with the spirit of Valentine’s Day, why not join us this Sunday to find out what are some of the things God would have us love?
