Who among us doesn’t battle with worry, worry over money matters, or who to date or marry, or how to succeed at parenting or in business, or waiting to learn if my cancer is operable, or how to care for my senior parents, or will terrorism strike my town, or who win the White House in November?
These and one hundred other problems are eating people alive today; or more accurately, they’re causing depression and heart-related illnesses. Sometimes they even lead to suicide. Now regardless whether or not worry is the primary cause for all our physiological and psychological dysfunctions today, it certainly exacerbates them all!
Jesus, in the heart of History’s superlative sermon, posed the question that reminds people of faith, that worry is faith’s adversary. Why not visit with us this week as we listen to Jesus’ response to His own question: “Can all our worries add a single moment to our life?”
