Whenever we hear the term, “servant,” we typically picture particular people in our minds. But sometimes when we hear the word, “servant,” we think of organizations. Samaritan’s Purse that races to disasters, or more locally, the Allentown Rescue Mission that houses and feeds homeless men, comes to my mind.
But there’s one organization I suspect rarely comes to any of our minds when we hear the term, “servant,” and that is our government – whether our federal, or state or local branches. We’re more likely to hear other far less complimentary descriptors, which I dare not script here.
But God sees our government, and all governments, differently. Do you care to know what He thinks? Why not join us this Sunday as we begin our next miniseries, this one entitled, “One Strange Servant.”
