Recently, one of our church families hosted our annual baptismal service. About 75 people, split evenly between our church folks and other friends, gathered to see the dunking and hear the testimonies of three relatively new believers. As each of them surfaced, an unsolicited applause erupted, accompanied by this sprinkling of “Praise The Lord’s!” Everyone was smiling, and some were even crying – but these were tears of joy! One great afternoon!
The passage that we come to this Sunday morning commands Christians to share joys and sorrows. Why not share this hour of joy with us this week? It may even bring a tear to your eye.
