Last time I had the privilege to share Gods word with you, we looked at the spirit of deception in 1st John. This Sunday, I want to look at another negative spirit found in 2nd Timothy.
Paul was at the end of his missionary journey and he was in prison. But Paul was not thinking of himself, he was concerned for Timothy. Paul recognized that Timothy was battling fear, so he sends Timothy a 2nd letter.
In his letter, Paul tells Timothy how to to not be ruled by a spirit of fear and how to overcome it.
On Sunday, we will look at several verses in 2nd Timothy to see how to apply this advice to our lives and not give a foothold to the spirit of fear.
