Sermon Synopsis for Sunday, June 21st: “Understand and Honor”

Currently our culture is coming unraveled with a whole lot of protest, but little substantive contributions for change. Cries for understanding and respect can be heard all across the political, academic and media spectrums, but we don’t seem to be making any real progress.

The same can be said about the home. Many marriages are ending up in divorce court, while many stay together for “the sake of the children.” Because of the cultural disillusionment of marriage today, many couples simply choose to live together until their “loves dies.”

This Sunday is Father’s Day, and the cries we hear in our culture are the very same cries we need to hear in our homes – but more than hear, they need to be heeded. So why not join us this Sunday morning (at either our 8:30 am outdoor service or our 11:00 am indoor service) to hear more about what husbands in the home can do to help build a lasting and satisfying marriage in the sermon I’ve entitled, “Understand & Honor?”
