Sermon Synopsis for Sunday, November 17th: “Its Faith that Counts”

I wonder what kind of signing bonus the Apostle Paul received for penning his Magnum Opus – and to what major cities his editor arranged for his Book Tour? He probably held his inaugural signing in Corinth from where he wrote his Roman epistle. Then he likely headed north and east to Philippi and probably hit Ephesus after that. From there I suspect he traveled to Antioch and then to the place where it all started for him, Jerusalem. No doubt, he climaxed his whirlwind Book Tour in Rome where he got arrested and thrown into prison for his first of two incarcerations.

Okay, there was no Book Tour, but if there had been, then its purpose would have been fundamentally different than almost all of today’s Book Tours. Today’s are all about money! Paul, conversely, scripted his literary masterpiece because it was all about eternity, where we will all spend it.

Why not attend this coming Sunday morning? to learn more about what he could have titled his bestseller, “It’s Faith that Counts.”
