Who doesn’t love the 1965 Best Picture of the Year, “The Sound of Music”?
As for me, two of my favorite scenes revolve around that one soul-stirring song,“Edelweiss”. The lyrics begin with,“Edelweiss, Edelweiss, every morning you greet me. Small and white, clean and bright; you look happy to meet me.”
In this Sunday’s message, we want to see ourselves as spiritual “edelweisses”. All of us have vices, most of which are not good. But this is a good vice, this edel-vice. Why? Because it makes God “happy to see me”, especially when we shine “clean and bright, soft and white.”

We encourage everyone who considers themselves a family member to come and participate. Two items of business will need to be confirmed, the 2015 roster of elders and operating budget, as we project our goals for the current year. We will enjoy a time of fellowship following the meeting.
