We’ve all heard the old adage, “He’s so Heavenly-minded that he’s no earthly good”. You may have heard it directly, somebody charging you with this much-less-than-a-compliment. It was likely spoken by someone with an axe to grind against Christianity in general or you in particular. So although it was probably not intended as a compliment, maybe you should take it as such.
\nWhy do I suggest this may actually be a compliment? Because when we focus on Heaven, our spiritual sight and insight prove better than 20\/20. When the eternal becomes the driving force in how we think and act, then the temporal becomes far more purposeful and significant.<\/p>\n
People who are truly Heavenly-minded are people who live by faith. Come this Sunday to learn about why “faith” is the one indispensable characteristic that distinguishes true Christians from those who simply go through certain religious motions.<\/p>\n
