And I remember more than a few embarrassing moments; like the time I attended Andy&#8217;s 1st &#8220;Back to School Night&#8221; where I met his 1st grade teacher. All the other parents seemed be in a great rush to get home &#8211; probably to tuck their other children into bed &#8211; so I allowed them all to meet and greet the teacher before I did. I&#8217;m suspecting that is was by the process of elimination that Andy&#8217;s teacher figured out who I was. So as I approached her, and we simultaneously extended our hands to exchange greetings, she spoke first saying, &#8220;Hi, and you must be Andy&#8217;s grandfather&#8221;. I&#8217;m sure my grimace betrayed her faux pas, which caused her to immediately back-peddle &#8211; and fast. But the more she tried to rectify her errant presumption, the more she wrecked it. I drove home that evening with a whole new empathy for the Biblical couple, Abraham and Sarah.
