Some of the more familiar examples of a paradox include, \u201cLess is more;\u201d which means what? How can &#8220;less&#8221; actually be &#8220;more?&#8221; Well, we get it that something less complicated is often more appreciated. Here\u2019s another: \u201cIf I know one thing, it\u2019s that I know nothing.\u201d Well, which is it? Does the person know but one thing, or doesn\u2019t he know anything? Yes. I offer just one more example, one that we have employed most Sunday mornings throughout the Coronacrisis: \u201cWelcome to Faith Family Fellowship where faith and family meet \u2013 apart.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/faithfamilyfellowship.church\/?attachment_id=3828\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3828\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3828\" src=\"https:\/\/faithfamilyfellowship.church\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/header9-300x123.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"123\" srcset=\"https:\/\/faithfamilyfellowship.church\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/header9-300x123.jpg 300w, https:\/\/faithfamilyfellowship.church\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/header9-768x314.jpg 768w, https:\/\/faithfamilyfellowship.church\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/header9-1024x419.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/faithfamilyfellowship.church\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/header9.jpg 1109w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Of far greater import, the Bible has given rise to this one paradox surrounding the purpose of Moses\u2019 Law. \u201cGod designed it to show us and all mankind how to live, right?\u201d Not exactly, for we presume that if we obeyed its scads of rules as best as humanly possible, rules like, \u201cDon\u2019t steal and don\u2019t murder,\u201d then God would be pleased with us.<\/p>\n<p>You may be surprised to hear that the Law\u2019s purpose is far more paradoxical.
