His response was typical of most of us when we\u2019re being faced with admitting to some upsetting sin. He denied any guilt; and not just once, but several times \u2013 until his adult son walked in on him at a most compromising moment.<\/p>\n<p>After all the fallout, including a broken marriage, I went to see him and asked why he didn\u2019t let me help before the situation got out of hand. I\u2019ll never forget his excuse \u2013 which I believe he truly believed! He looked me square in the eyes and said: \u201cWell you\u201d \u2013 so now it was about to become my fault \u2013 \u201cyou always taught me that God\u2019ll forgive any sin I commit. So I knew God\u2019d forgive me; all I needed to do was ask for His forgiveness.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wow! To what great lengths of Biblical distortion our sin will drag us.
