\"palm<\/a>The streets\u00a0leading into the city and within were\u00a0gorged\u00a0with a mix of\u00a0fervent devotees\u00a0and\u00a0curious hopefuls.\u00a0Near-fanatical cheering and unrestrained palm-waving\u00a0signaled this day as\u00a0remarkably special.\u00a0Could this\u00a0reported miracle-worker and rabbi-extraordinaire\u00a0be the one the\u00a0nation of Israel had long awaited?\u00a0Could he be the\u00a0people’s Messiah?<\/p>\n

If the\u00a0crowd was any indication\u00a0what the\u00a0popular opinion\u00a0held,\u00a0then there’s no question. But oh\u00a0how quickly\u00a0things can turn!<\/p>\n

Just\u00a0five days later,\u00a0some from this same crowd were spotted\u00a0cheering again, only this time they weren’t lifting their praise with“Crown Him!”<\/em>; they were pleading the government with\u00a0<\/em>“Crucify Him!”<\/em><\/p>\n

Oh how\u00a0fickle the nature of man!\u00a0AThrone or a tree? A crown or a cross?\u00a0If\u00a0this man\u00a0really was Messiah, then by every and all means, get that\u00a0crown on His Head!\u00a0But herein lay the\u00a0inexplicable dynamic\u00a0that\u00a0weds together Palm Sunday and Bad Friday. The crowd\u00a0couldn’t\u00a0coronate Jesus until they had crucified Him. Huh?<\/p>\n
