\"heaven\"<\/a>If I was to conduct a\u00a0straw poll of the average person\u00a0in America today and ask this question,\u00a0“How does one enter Heaven someday?”<\/em>, I believe I could chisel down the\u00a0plethora of answers\u00a0to\u00a0virtually one.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I suspect I’d hear such\u00a0spiritual responses\u00a0as,\u00a0“I obey<\/em>\u00a0<\/em>the 10 Commandments;”<\/em>\u00a0<\/em>or\u00a0<\/em>“I’ve been<\/em>\u00a0<\/em>baptized;”<\/em>\u00a0<\/em>or“I’ve been<\/em>\u00a0<\/em>confirmed;”<\/em>\u00a0<\/em>or\u00a0“I<\/em>\u00a0<\/em>regularly go to church”<\/em>.\u00a0In addition, I suspect I’d also hear the more\u00a0ethereal answer,\u00a0“I’m a good person”<\/em>; whatever that means since the term\u00a0“good”<\/em>\u00a0is so subjective. So what is that singular answer\u00a0to the question,\u00a0“How does one enter Heaven someday?”<\/em>\u00a0<\/em>By performing good works; stringing together a series of\u00a0“good”<\/em>\u00a0<\/em>deeds\u00a0that so\u00a0impress God that He is left with no choice\u00a0but to welcome us in.<\/p>\n

Come this Sunday to learn from the Apostle Paul’s\u00a0personal journey\u00a0down this\u00a0“good works”<\/em>\u00a0<\/em>path.\u00a0For if\u00a0ever a man lived who could line up his credentials\u00a0and\u00a0make a credible case for earning salvation, Paul’s da man. But he learned\u00a0that this path is nothing but a dead end.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
