Ge.4:4"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Not all siblings get along. Many of us remember the Andrews Sisters, LaVerne, Maxene and Patty. Back in the turbulent 1930&#8217;s and 40&#8217;s, when the world was imploding with a 2nd world war within a quarter century, the Andrews Sisters brought some much-needed entertainment through music and film. <img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/upload.wikimedia.org\/wikipedia\/en\/thumb\/b\/b3\/The-Andrews-Sisters.jpg\/330px-The-Andrews-Sisters.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"205\" height=\"259\" \/><\/p>\n<p>They reached stardom with such hits as \u201cDon&#8217;t Sit Under the Apple Tree&#8221;, &#8220;Beer Barrel Polka,\u201d and probably their most familiar song, &#8220;Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy.\u201d<br \/>\nBut out of the public eye, things weren&#8217;t so nice. The youngest sister, Patty, once confessed, &#8220;We were at each other&#8217;s throats all the time.&#8221; She didn&#8217;t help the situation when she sued her oldest sister, LaVerne, for more of their parents&#8217; estate.<\/p>\n<p>However, there may be no more notorious a sibling rivalry than between the very first set of brothers, although the jealousy was purely one-sided. Cain hated his brother Abel, and so much so, that he murdered him in cold blood. Any jury would have found him guilty of murder in the 1st degree &#8211; fully premeditated.<\/p>\n<p>Why not visit our church this Sunday when we ask and answer the pertinent question that Cain shot back angrily and defensively at God, &#8220;Am I my brother&#8217;s keeper?&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Not all siblings get along.
